A Canadian adaptation of the Israeli classic dessert drink, this sachlav is a thick and satisfying drink, slightly reminiscent of pudding.

Ingredients

Sachlav

  • 3 Cups "Almond Breeze" Almond Milk (Unsweetened, Vanilla)
  • 6 tbsp Tapioca Starch
  • 6 tbsp "Almond Breeze" Almond Milk (Unsweetened, Vanilla)
  • 6 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 0.125 tsp “Flavorganics” Orange Extract
  • 1 Pinch Nutmeg

Suggested Toppings

  • Unsalted Organic Pistachios (Whole)
  • Roasted Almonds (Chopped)
  • Shaved Coconut (Unsweetened)
  • Golden Raisins
  • Cinnamon

Instructions

  • Bring everything to a boil but tapioca starch and 6 tbsp of almond milk.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the tapioca starch and almond milk and whisk into the simmering sachlav.
  • Cook for another few minutes, pour into serving cups and top with suggested toppings of choice.
