Featured Recipe: Gluten-Free Flat Bread (Dairy Free, Egg Free)
There is nothing nicer than breaking off a piece of freshly baked bread straight out of the oven. This bread will satisfy that craving even if you are gluten-free!
Servings: 6 Buns
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Dry Active Yeast
- 0.25 Cup Lukewarm Water
- 1 tbsp Organic Cane Sugar
- 3.5 Cups “Bob’s Red Mill” Gluten Free All-Purpose Flour
- 3 tsp Guar Gum
- 0.5 tsp Sea Salt
- 2 tbsp “Sarafino” Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1.75 Cups Lukewarm Water
Instructions
- Combine yeast, ¼ cup of water and sugar in a small bowl and allow to activate for 10 minutes.
- In a large bowl combine gluten free flour, guar gum and sea salt.
- In a separate bowl combine the activated yeast solution with 1 ¾ cups water and olive oil.
- Mix the wet ingredients into the dry until fully incorporated, transfer over to a clean greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap and allow to rise for 20 minutes.
- Form into desired size buns, place onto a parchment lined baking sheet and allow to rise for another 20 minutes.
- Pre-heat your oven to 450F and bake the buns for 15 minutes.
