Featured Recipe: Salted “Caramel” Chocolate Almond Bark
This decadent chocolate bark is incredibly simple to whip up and provides a great source of healthy fats, calcium and magnesium. Perfect for Men's Health Month!
Servings: 60 Bite Size Pieces
Ingredients
Bark
- 4 cups “Enjoy Life” Chocolate Chips
- 2 cups Roasted Almonds (Unsalted)
Caramel
- 10 Medjool Dates (Pitted)
- 0.5 cup “Maison Orphée” Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
- 0.5 cup “Canadian Heritage Organics” Maple Syrup
- 0.25 tsp Sea Salt
Instructions
- Melt your chocolate chips over a double boiler until liquid.
- In a high speed blender combine all of the “caramel” ingredients until smooth.
- Combine melted chocolate in a bowl with roasted almonds.
- Spread onto a parchment lined baking sheet and top with caramel.
- Using a spoon, move around the caramel on top of the chocolate to create a swirl effect.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes, break or cut into desired size pieces and indulge!
