Nature’s Emporium Receives a “Healthy Community Award” at the LSRCA Conservation Awards Ceremony
Team members from Nature’s Emporium were on hand to attend the ‘Conservation Awards Ceremony’ this past Tuesday, an annual event organized by our friends at Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority.
LSRCA has been the official conservation partner for our Newmarket location since February of 2018, when we announced our efforts to reduce the use of plastic bags in-store.
This event celebrates “Watershed Heroes” within the community, including elected officials and environmental leaders from around the Lake Simcoe watershed. It was created with the goal of inspiring action to both conserve and protect Lake Simcoe – an important resource for all of us.
Joe D’Addario – President of Nature’s Emporium – was presented with a ‘Healthy Community Award’ during the event, which he was proud to accept on behalf of the Nature’s Emporium family.
“It’s an honour to accept the Healthy Community Award tonight, on behalf of the Nature’s Emporium family. I believe that when we all do our part, even the smallest act can create big waves of change. Healthier communities begin with all of us.” remarked Joe upon receiving the reward.
